About this role

Description:

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit is looking for a full-time Wellness Center Manager in Jersey City. The Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing operations and activities at the center including a team of mentors and a Resource Specialist. Wellness Centers are a safe and supportive place for adults with life struggles to meet and get support.


HIGHLIGHTS

  • Conduct community outreach to promote center services, building partnerships with local organizations, and ensuring access to resources for members.
  • Foster a welcoming environment, track operational metrics, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with policies.
  • The manager will coordinate referral services, life skills workshops, vocational awareness, self-care opportunities, creative arts activities, peer support, access to tangible goods.
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations, community leaders to enhance the centers visibility and relevance, actively engaging in community events and initiatives.

Full-time Benefit Eligible (Medical, free DMO dental & free vision) including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 2+ years relevant experience or
  • Bachelor's degree in a related mental health discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a supervisory role.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have strong computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and stay organized.
  • Track record of engagement and passion for building the community.
  • Knowledge of wellness, the mental health system and community resources.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and relate to a diverse population in a multicultural environment.
  • Proven ability to engage and support individuals with mental health diagnoses using empathy, professionalism, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Bilingual skills a plus!
  • MUST have a valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
  • Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring individuals who use their personal experience with mental health diagnoses or substance use to inspire, support, and empower others.
